Synopsis
Every leader faces seven giants determined to keep them out of their “Promised Land.” The author identifies these giants, then helps readers overcome every day Goliaths determined to keep them living in fear and familiar patterns. Drawing on a deep reservoir of wisdom, illustrated by his own battles with giants—and those of others—he challenges readers to become historic giant killers in their family, generation, and industry. Sharing inspirational stories of battles with giants, the author provides practical steps to transforming future generations and restoring shattered dreams. Finally, as a backdrop he provides insights gained from an analysis of how cult leader, Jim Jones weakened the spiritual defenses of his followers at the People’s Temple in San Francisco and made them subservient until death. The author’s family lost 27 relatives, including his grandmother, in the Jonestown Guyana mass murder on November 18, 1978, that claimed 918 lives (which almost half were children).
“Be a Giant Killer” is a book on how family history can affect everything we do in life. It is a timeless message so future generations do not relive the past we are so often condemned to repeat.
What we do today matters. It affects those after us. We either inspire or misfire the next generation. Impress or confess to them. Impact or subtract. Steal or fulfill the dreams in their heart. The Joshua generation were different than their parents. They were giant killers.
You can be too.
